This is our last post :( It was great to learn about this social network that I didn't know. When teacher told us that we must do a blog, I thought "oooh noo" because I'm very stupid in terms of technology and computation (also in other things xD). But with time and a little help of youtube tutorials jijiji I constructed my blog, and I love it.

I didn't write in english since 2010, when the last work at school it was write a paper. I liked the English subject, and I was the best student of my class (good times xD). I remember that in the paper my mark was a 7 *.* I don't know what happened in all this years jajajja well, I concentrated all my energy in pass other courses, and I forgot many things of grammar.

When I started to write in blog I felt like Tarzan :( and I had to search all the words in a dicticionary. Now, my writting is more fluent and I have tried to correct my mistakes. I must learn many things, but this experience helped me to understand that I must take every opportunity that comes to learn english...and I'll do!!

I would like to include in the future topics like celebrations, hobbies, films and music. I know that in a normal semester, without strike, we could have written about more things. Well, future generations may do it :)

Hi guys...Pets!!!!

This topic is my favourite, because I am a dog lover, cat lover, birds lover and a looong etc ♥♥♥ Since I was a child, I have lived with pet, because my mother thinks that animals are "little brothers". 

I remember my first dog and my first cat, they lived when I was three years old. The name of the dog was Bambi (yes, like the deer of the film xD), and the name of the female cat was Sagrario (like a protagonist of a soap opera). In my familiy, we ever called our pets with fun names or with celebrity names of history. For example, we had cats called Colliguay and Lancelot. In the case of dogs, the name of my beautiful pet is Lautaro, like the brave native chilean.

The most sad part of love pets, is when they die. I have cried many times, especially for cats, because they like to walk and to play in street, and drivers running over them :( Well, but we love cats and we try that they live happy with us. 

I think that the increasing of number of people walking dog is a fashion, because I have known people that don't likes dog, but they buy breed dog because they are "beautiful" or "stranges". I never could buy a dog, to me, to love a pet don't have relation with appearance of them. 

This was my point of view!! In the pictures are the most beautiful dog and the most beautiful cat of the galaxy!! jajajaj they are Lautaro and Run Run, pets of my family ♥

Hi all of you!

I proposed this topic *.* because cartoons were a part of my infancy. In fact, since I was 2 years old my mom says me "Kiki" because she saw on TV a cartoon similar to me, and this was her name. Well, I have searched in google and I have not found information about Kiki, sometimes I think that my mother had a crazy dream xD But is so cute my nickname ♥♥♥ and all the people say me this way. 

Me and my brother were fans of Cartoon Network Channel, and all day we watched cartoons like Dexter Laboratory, Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo and Courage the cowardly dog. To me, it was so funny identify me in some character of the program. My brother made the same and we played together in afternoon. For example, I was Blossom of the Powerpuff Girl, and now I still like her. 

Now, I don't like Cartoon Network, it is not like this times and the new cartoons are so boring to me. Actually, I don´t see animated cartoons because I prefer other types of programs. But when I find in a channel some of my favourites, I watch the episode and many times I laugh with the story. 

I'm going to make a little mention for japanese animations, I am not a great fan of them, but Pokemon and Dragon Ball wooow they are amazing to me! Gokú was my first love jajajaj

I chose a expert in agronomy, that is considered the father of the green revolution: Norman Borlaug.

Norman Borlaug was an american agronomist. He studied at the University of Minnesota and his specialization area was plant pathology. In 1964, with 50 years old he was made director of the International Wheat Improvement Program, that was part of CIMMYT (International Center of Research and Improvement of Wheat and Maize, I want to work in this place sometime of my life).

He won Peace Nobel laureate for his role in the development of hybrid seeds, which had features that increased yield of wheat, like semi-dwarf plants or resistant to diseases. Borlaug led the introduction of these varities combined, with new techniques of crop and modern technology. Between 60' and 70' wheat yields nearly doubled in some places of the world, and permitted save a billion people worldwide from starvation. 

I like Noman Borlaug because my dream since I entered to study agronomy, is to know the most techniques effective to produce crops, because crops are food and I can't believe that in this times with all the advances, still many people die for hunger. Is so sad to me, and a phrase of Norman Borlaug is very representative of my thought: "food is the moral right of all who are born into this world".

Hi guys!!

Well...Permaculture...Never in my life I had listened this word jajaja But in several courses, teachers talked about sustainable agriculture and I think that in the future, this is the way to the crop's production.

The video appeared me interesting, especially when Geoff Lawton talk about the nodule's fixing in the root. This process is carried for legumes and permit to increase the fertility of soil, somethig very important because the excessive use of fertilizer in the crops, is a threat for the balance of environmet. In fact, my thesis is about bean and also makes symbiosis with the bacteria Rizhobium. 

I think that to take this system in Chile is so difficult, because according to my knowledge about farmers, they are very stubborn and maintain their techniques in the fields, mainly because those practices are of their family. Nevertheless, many agronomist are working with farmers, in similar activities to Permaculture, ever with the objective of to change bad managements.

Hi boys 

All my life, I see my father reading. He is a fanatic of the books, but unfortunately I can never have the same habilitity. In the school I didn´t like read, but I must make because we had a calification of this :( Nevertheless, the reading was so easy for me, and in the tests of the books my califications were excelents.
Now, I miss have free time to read a good book. The university is so demanding and many times I think that my day don`t have 24 hours jajaja
In my school period, I read a lot of interesting books that now I remember like my favourites. There are Cien años de soledad of Gabriel García Márquez, La Metamorfosis of Franz Kafka, El perfume of Patrick Suskind, El túnel of Ernesto Sábato, Siddhartha of Hermann Hesse, Naraciones extraordinarias of Edgar Allan Poe and Crónicas marcianas of Ray Bradbury. For me, there are a excelents books, that catch me in the history and leave me thinking for many time of there topics. The last year, I take a course in the University called Evaluation of the literature. It was very good, because we read fragments of several authors of the books that I mention.
If I had to define my likes in relation to the books, my favourites are the distopics novels. Is so attractive to me that the author try to explain a daily situation by crazy histories. In this case, I recommed the book Brave new world of Aldous Huxley, because changed my life life jajaj is amazing!

Hi!

I'm going to tell you the subjects wich I will suffer this term U.U All the years, I have been very stressed because I am a person a little maniac for the studies. I like the good markets, then is a pressure for me to get the expected results.
Well, this semester I have six courses: Improvement of Crops, Vegetal Fisiogenetic, Physics, Cereals and Professional Practice, The most interesting for me are cereals, because is the my favourite area and the teacher makes the class a conversation between agronomist. The activities that I can realize in all the courses are many investigations, visits to fields and to develop a lot of exercises to physisc, because is so difficult to me.
A extracurricular activity that I like very much, is a assistant of the course Fundamentals of Productions of Crops. I help to the students in several works that they must have, and I apply my knowledges of the area.
My expects for this period are the better. Although in the beginning was hard, I know that in the course of the time the motivation will come to me. In the photography, I am with my friends of the University.

A little biography of me...

Hi all of you

I was born in a small town of the south of Chile, called Loncoche. My birthday is tomorrow! April 24, and I going to be 22 years old. 
Since I was 7 years live in Curacaví, a odd town near to Santiago and Viña del Mar. I live with my parent Myriam and Francisco and my smaller brother Renato (but he is 1.93 tall ). I study mi primary y secondary in this town in two schools: Valle de Puangue and  Curacaví College respectively. I love Curacaví, because is quiet and the air is so pure (very different to Santiago).
I entered to Universidad de Chile in 2011, when I was 17 years old. I study agronomy, and I am in fith year (the time happen very fast!). My favourite area is the production of crop, like cereals, legumes, green vegetables and industrials crops, because there are the main foodstuff of the people in the world. 
My hobbies are singing, dancing, and I love spend time with my friends. They are a happiness every day <3 I like the pets, in my house we have two cats called Run Run and Pinky, and a dog called Lautaro. 
My life is simple and funny, I enjoy many daily things and I try to smile in the difficult situations, because for me, this is the way to live many beautiful days.
